2013 Cabernet Sauvignon

Stag's Leap, Napa Valley

Here’s what we call a ‘Charbay Style’ Cabernet – elegant, balanced and softly full flavored. The touch of French oak rounds out the luscious body for an easy sipping full wine. We’re just wishing we’d made more!

2007 Syrah

Red Hills Lake County

Dark black berry color in the glass. The body is medium to big. We suggest decanting. With time to open in the glass, look for vivid aromas of fresh grapes as well as the aromas of clove, cedar shavings and white pepper.

This is a classic big California rich Syrah with balanced acid and tannins. A weighty juicy mid palate coats the back of the mouth with cassis, dark cherry, dark chocolate, and cigar box. The finish again shows the integrated tannins with lingering hints of truffle, black berry and cherry.

2006 Distillers' Port

Napa Valley

The grapes came in clean and ripe in a tough growing season. They were de-stemmed and barely crushed, inoculated with yeast and allowed to ferment until we arrested the fermentation with our own brandy.

Plump jammy flavors of the wine in its youth and toasty vanilla of the brandy have combined & settled down to mature to a medium body, semi-dry richness. 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Zinfandel, 10% Syrah. Aged for 7 years in neutral French oak. Bar top cork, no corkscrew needed. 93 Points, Wine Enthusiast.
